Biography
Peter served articles on the Gold Coast, being admitted as a lawyer in 1991 and is a partner of QBM since 2001. Peter is the managing partner of QBM.
Since admission, Peter has practised extensively in commercial litigation and commercial law and estates generally with an emphasis on property law.
Peter’s practice areas are wide, including:
- Business and securities advice and litigation;
- Caveats and related litigation;
- Commercial transactions and litigation;
- Company dealings (including share transactions) and litigation;
- Consumer law litigation including financial services disputes;
- Employment advice and litigation, including general protections claims (acting for employee or employer) and unfair dismissal (acting for employer);
- Estate litigation, including family provision claims;
- Estate planning;
- Leasing advice and litigation;
- Property development and property dealings such as easements and covenants;
- Wills and trusts.
Peter works with respected advisors including financial planners and accountants and – with his thorough understanding of business structures and extensive experience in a variety of areas of law – delivers competent advice in matters involving different aspects of law. Peter has presented seminars in respect of various aspects of law, including to the QLS Property Law Conference, and regularly as a guest of RFS Advice in respect of estate planning and related topics.
